Alp Nicotine Pouches - Review. 4 December 2024.

The day has arrived, and we will be looking at Alp Nicotine Pouches today! They hit the market really quickly after I gave them a peek in September. Turning Point Brands and well-known conservative figure Tucker Carlson collaborated to bring the product Alp to market.

According to reports, this was a "50/50 joint venture between Turning Point Brands and the Tucker Carlson Network."Just a brief note: "Designed in the USA" is written at the bottom of the can. Put together in India.

These are manufactured by the same people that make the well-known Frē nicotine pouches, as I indicated in my preview. Since I usually aim to be politically impartial on this site, I won't be delving into the politics of these. catch phrase.

The Comparison:  Zyn vs Alp

It was my intention to quickly compare Zyn and Alp. Not because Zyn and I are at odds. However, since Alp Pouches was introduced in reaction to Tucker's Zyn experiences, I thought this would be a fitting analogy. Alp is available in a 10-gram container with 20 0.5-gram pouches in contrast to Zyn, which comes in 15 pouches weighing 0.4 grams each.

Three, six, and nine milligrams of nicotine are available in Alp. In the US, Zyn contains 3 mg and 6 mg. Alp is more slender than Zyn, but they are almost the same length. Additionally, the pouch is fuller and has a higher moisture content. In other words, it has more flavor and feels better under the lip.

Now, we've done all the fun background stuff, let's try out the products!

Alp Mountain Wintergreen

The Review: Upon opening the can, a distinct scent of wintergreen emerges. It has a hint of sweetness and tastes nearly minty. It has a fairly strong flavor. It has a delicate wintergreen flavor that is nearly counterbalanced by a hint of mint. You can definitely taste the wintergreen, and it's not too minty, but it does have a freshness to it. Although it's sweeter than some of the ones I've had before, it's still not as delicious.

Alp Tropical Fruit

Flavor Description:  "Do you want to experience the tropics without having to pay for an expensive plane ticket or fall for dubious tourist traps? Tropical Fruit from ALP delivers. Simple, pure island flavor that says, "here's your tropical escape," without the sunburn. No tricks.".

Alp Tropical Fruit

The Review:  How similar this would be to Frē Lush intrigued some. I had to compare it to my previous evaluation because I haven't had it in a long time. It certainly smells tropical when you open the can. It has a little bite and is sweeter than average.

I detect hints of mango, passionfruit, and possibly guava. It's not very zesty. It hits the tropical note in terms of flavor. It's a little sweeter than the scent. There's also a slight tang to it. I grab a mango and maybe a guava. There's nearly a faint taste of passionfruit. I think this one is more tropical than Lush, which was more melon and citrusy. However, that's precisely what

Alp Chilled Mint

Flavor Description:  "ALP's Chilled Mint returns to its roots. A genuine, sharp coolness that does the job without feigning to be anything else—no nonsense. It's crisp, strong, and refreshingly simple—just way mint should be. Want something new? Here it is.".

Alp Chilled Mint

The Review:  Let's now examine Chilled Mint, the first of their two mint items. This one smells of peppermint, which is harsh, chilly, and biting. There's also a faint sweetness to it. Since it's a mint product, I experience the mint flavor's recognizable cooling effect on my lip.

There is undoubtedly a peppermint taste in the flavor. The mint flavor is strong and abrasive. It is cool and revitalizing. Additionally, it has a slightly higher level of sweetness. You'll note that it tastes sweet, but it's not excessively sweet.

Alp Refreshing Chill

Flavor Description:  "Looking for a respite that's as cool as the pillow's other side? Refreshing Chill from ALP is here to help you get there. It resembles an arctic getaway in a bag. Each pouch will leave you feeling as though you just dipped in the freshest lake on earth. It is smooth, crisp, and refreshing.".

Alp Refreshing Chill

The Review:  Let's move on to Refreshing Chill, the second of the two mint flavors. Since "chill" appears in some form in both of these names, you're undoubtedly curious about the distinctions between them. This one has a very subtle scent.

It's not as sharp as the last one, but it tastes more peppermint than anything else. It seems softer and more revitalizing to me. Like the prior one, it's also sweet. I detect a mild, sweet, and velvety peppermint flavor in it.

I'm aware that some people have inquired, but this one doesn't taste like spearmint to me. It has a subtle flavor that isn't overpowering. Though not as brash or harsh as the previous one, it's nonetheless invigorating..

Some Final Notes (Nicotine and Flavor Longevity)

There are three strengths available for this medication line: 3, 6, and 9 mg. I only tested 6 and 9 mg because I believe 3 mg to be extremely weak. The 6mg kicked fairly well, nearly reaching the usual strength level.

Compared to the 6 mg, the 9 mg felt stronger and had more kick. These do taste far more present than Zyn in terms of flavor presence and persistence. Also, the flavors linger a lot longer. I usually get 30 to 40 minutes out of an Alp pouch.

Rating and Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the scores vary widely, primarily based on flavor and intensity. The line struck me as sound and similar to Frē. My favorite flavor turned out to be tropical fruit. Overall, I preferred the 9 mg over the 6 mg in terms of strength. I felt that Refreshing Chill tasted better than the other mint.

I believe those who prefer minty flavors will like Wintergreen, which was fairly solid. Overall, it was a good release. Those who like nicotine pouches will probably be happy! I did like these better than Zyn. Zyn is fine, however I find the pouches to be extremely dry and the flavor to be quite subtle. I prefer a more
